FREEDOM RINGING

The freedom all people seek can only be found in Jesus!

1. National Freedom

A. This is what Jefferson had in mind when he wrote the Declaration of Independence.

B. Thousands have risked and lost their lives gaining and protecting our national freedom.

2. Personal Freedom

A. We consider personal freedom one of our inalienable rights.

B. The United States began as a Christ-based Constitutional Republic.

3. Self Rule

A. Dictionary says “freedom” is governing one’s self independent of outside interference.

B. Self Rule is a painfully dangerous concept when we apply it in the wrong way.

4. Spiritual Freedom

(Galatians 5:1) It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

A. The popular belief is that freedom comes from self rule.

B. Genuine freedom is real and available – but only by yielding control of life to Jesus.
