Matt & Melody Downing

Welcome to Matt & Melody Downing and baby Caleb!

Matt has accepted the position of Student Pastor and will begin serving in August.  Please remember to keep them in your prayers as they make this transition from the Metroplex to Pflugerville. 

We wanted to share some information about Matt and his ministry...

I grew up in a Christian home, but my relationship with Christ became my own at the age of 8.  My parents and the student ministry of my church were vital to my growth as a Christ follower.  It was in the student ministry as a teenager, that God first started calling me to serve Him and invest into future generations the things that had been invested into me.  I love students, and I believe in their potential to change the world. 

I believe that, as a student minister, my job is to love them, encourage them, help them see their potential, and to provide a place where they know they are cared about.  I believe that my calling is also to minister to the parents (who have more of an impact on their children than I ever could), and to involve other adults in the overall ministry, as well.
